I've got more pix I'll upload later but I thought I'd get on here and show y'all this. The links at the bottom explain what happened to him.

That's funny. I kept telling him that "chicks dig scars" and my wife kept saying "No they don't!! Where in the hell did you hear that?" but 2 or 3 of the nurses said that the girls would be impressed by that scar and now you said it. I love it when my wife is wrong!!! Although I'm a bit jealous. I have big scars, and I have scars on my head but I don't have any big scars on my head....yet. But the day is young!!!

Anyway, he's doing great. I'm having a hard time keeping him slowed down, just like a typical 5 year old boy he wants to go full speed all the time.

Here's a recent picture. The stuffed animal with him is his buddy. Right after his surgery he wanted me to put a "scar" on him so they would match. My son's scar is really healing up.

:D :D I think he'll be fine too. His name is Spot but since my son has been carrying him for 5 years all his spots have long been washed off of him.

But yeah, it's healing up great. I was impressed that the surgeon didn't shave very much hair off of him.

He probably just held it out the way with duct tape  ... OK maybe not :D  It wouldn't surprise me if they use some form of fancy tape though mask off the hairline.

If Spot is that popular I'm guessing that's an overexposed picture and he's really a kind of grey these days.  That kind of ingrained grey that doesn't wash out ;)

Why do kids always pick the white toys to be their favourites   ::) :D

He's not as white as he used to be but washing him with bleach keeps him "sorta" white.

Luckily my daughter's favourite stuffed toy (a small dog) is a rather forgiving tan colour.  However the other week I was handed said dog very solemnly and told 'Daddy, I think he needs a wash, he's a bit smelly', she was right. :D  Normally this happens when she's out at school or wherever, but this time she got to load him in the washer and very anxiously watched him got round and round for about 10 minutes, after that she was reasonably certain that he'd be OK.  ;)
