Absolute fakes!  I know...I bought two and then spent 2 weeks working with 15 emails a day to get my money back.

I actually still have one I don't know what to do with, if anyone has a Sebenza they'd like to trade....??

I sent them an ebay message earlier just for a laugh    ;)

"Are these genuine Gerber tools or Fakes? "

This is what they replied with

"My dear friend, They are OEM ones from the factory directly. Thanks."

(I would paste a copy but there's lots of number thingys)

Not necessarily the Gerber factory though. ;)

I've seen those come up over and over, with varying models.... assumed that being in China and low price, that they were all fakes. Sad but true assumption I think.

I replied
"So they are not made by Gerber and they are not made in the USA?
Can you tell me why they have Gerber and USA on the side?"

They replied

"Some of them are made in China and them send to the USA and then put in the package. The last working procedure was made in the USA."

Y'know, the strange thing is they are SO close to being the same, that you can't help but wonder if they ARE made in the same factory as the real ones..?

But on the other hand, there are a lot of components in a Gerber 600, and not one single one of them is precisely the same on the fakes as it is on the real ones. :P

It was kinda funny to begin with but the novelty has worn off

I have heard...and no way to verify, that these are made at the same factory, but with cheaper "non-Gerber" approved parts.
