Nautilus had Jaws !

I was patent surfing yesterday, looking for some new or upcoming multitools and found a rather interesting design patent.

Is the Nautilus indeed but it had.. Jaws ! :O

Great find! :salute:

It seems like pliers would have been a heck of a lot better than that silly light. ::)

Yup, and certainly beats Wenger's design for a foldable plier :o

Pistol grip pliers?  Looks kind of awkward.
Half-ass done wholeheartedly!

I bet a whole load more of us would own one if it had those pliers.  I suppose there must have been either a practical or economic reason that design didn't go ahead.  I can't believe the good design chaps at Gerber thought;

 "I know, we'll do away with these excellent pliers and put on this smurfty little LED instead, people will much prefer that".  :D
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

No kidding! I had several chances to buy one but never did because I thought the tool is kinda retarded. If it came like that I definitely would have!

If that was a real tool, I´d get one for sure. it seems to be a really nice and pocketable EDC for light duty, something I still haven´t found by now. Yes,I have Juices, but they are kind of heavy, and I just do not like the Skeletool and its clones...

I too would have bought one if the pliers had been included in the final product.
