I've never tested the Gerber carbide cutters or the cable cutter.  I have the cable cutter head for the Gerber Evolution but it's a shelf queen.  I'd expect that it does a fine job ...  anyone wanna use their precious cable cutter and find out for us??

...whereas most (all?) multipliers seem to use bypass-type wire cutters.

The WengerGrip and the PocketGrip have the anvil-type cutter... as well as some of the older pre-Leatherman multi-tools.
