Wenger Buck?
on: February 06, 2011, 12:49:30 AM
Today I was at the flea market and I found Wenger Esquire with a Buck logo on it. I had never seen one like that before. I liked it and it was only six dollars so I bought it.

I think Alcohol, Tabacco and Firearms should be a convenience store, not a government agency.

Good find.   Nice knife :tu: .     It's just a baby.                                 When It grows up it might look like this one :)

One of the Swiss Buck knives, this one is based upon the Wenger Esquire with Swiss Buck scales and is called the Legend.

I have a couple of the Legends also have two of these http://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=SwissBuck+Trekker

I don't carry them for two reasons
1) they are a novelty (at least to me)
2) I am a Vic man for the most part.

Oddly enough, I have two of the three SwissBucks with pliers.

SwissBucks by Bekki And Quanah, on Flickr

The TaskMate is nearly worn out...it was my carry SAK for a long, long time.  The SwissMate II is nearly pristine...I found it "used" in a pawn shop, but with the only sign of use a little wood stuck in the saw teeth.  I carry it occasionally just as a novelty, as it is easily the biggest SAK I own.  They're hard to find, but if you consider that it really is just a Wenger Everest with Buck scales (the Everest already having the drop-point blade that made the SwissBucks unique), you can find an equivalent a bit easier.
Half-ass done wholeheartedly!
