just bought a LCD 1080p 120htz

Finally after a couple of months of research i picked up a 32 inch LCD 1080p 120Hz television..

my first non-tube tv. I had to do a firmware upgrade right out of the box to get audio from the HDMI xbox connection...but HD Netflix looks fantastic! I put on Star Trek (the recent release)...the 120 Hz is well worth the few extra bucks. Tomorrow i'm gonna build me some shielded cables for added pic quality..maybe go down and get a HD DVR at the cable junction.

Now to find a bluray dvd of aquarium fish to put me to sleep

that's interesting... over here refresh rates on PAL are 50/100/200hz etc, vs the North American NSTC which is 60/120/240hz?

We're putting up with our old 29inch Panasonic CRT for the moment (which is 100hz, and made a big difference I think compared to normal refresh rate TVs), But I'm eyeing up 37-42inch LED TVs as a possible replacement.

Yep. I used to be an engineer for a company that makes TV studio broadcast equipment. I always hated testing the PAL stuff in those days. While PAL had better resolution than NTSC, that 50Hz/25fps flicker drove me insane!
