Hi from Croatia
on: March 17, 2011, 08:34:40 PM
Hello, I joined here a few months back and have used thisn forum as a reference when buying tools for years, but I only became active in the last week.(and it took me whole two days to buy two SAKs here-it's going to get expecive here) I've been on other forums under the same name and avatar so some of you may know me from there.

I'm 29, linguist, teacher, court interpreter, tourist guide,... Trying to make ends meet and feed the addiction. I speak croatian, german, english, slowenian, serbian, hungarian, and understand a bit of dutch so comunication shouldn't be a problem.

I love my Leathermans and SAKs. I prefer Wengers designs in most cases, but have s few Vics too. You had a chance to see some of my gear in the recent posts.

I'm really liking it here so far. It's a very relaxed and entertaining atmosphere here, yet informative and that's the way I like it. :)

Welcome!

I've been EDCing a Wenger S557 for a week or so and really liking it.

Remind me, which Wengers do you have?

Just a few, some got lost/gifted/traded along the way. Now I have the Evogrip S17 (not loving the lock, it makes it hard to access the scissors), an Eloxy 21 aka Patriot, a Forester and a Commander which scales used to have a violet pattern, now it's just white and scratched up. I keep it because it was my first, I bought it when I was 12 with my birthday money and fell in love with SAKs. With a SI on the way that makes five. It's a start.

That's an excellent start!

Personally, I love the Wenger locking blade.  That pedal/lever thingy is quite tricky!

Dobar dan!  Kako si?  (I actually don't speak Croatian... I have a Croatian friend and she used to teach me a few words now and then.)
This is called a Swiss Army Knife. Do you know what Switzerland is? Switzerland is a place where they don't like to fight, so they get people to do their fighting for them while they ski and eat chocolate. - Larry David
