I don't know if I can name 10, but here are some standouts:

-Resident Evil 2 (PC)
Scary, well paced game with great weapons and atmosphere.  Running out of ammo was ALWAYS a concern, so taking out zombies with a pistol even in the final stages of the game was the norm if you went crazy with the shotgun on a bigger monster.

-Deus Ex (PC)
Weird story, but somehow made for a great RPG FPS game.  The locations were "real world" and you basically got free reign over lots of areas.  Some really tense moments like when you're talking to your brother in his apartment and all of a sudden guys bust down the door and you have to take off out the window...I was like  :ahhh

-Command & Conquer:Generals (Zero Hour) (PC)
One of the best RTS interfaces ever...really simple and fast to use and learn.  The three armies are balanced really well, and the maps are great.

-Half Life (PC)
Like Resident Evil 2 and Deus Ex combined...with better graphics.  I recently played through this game again and it's one of my favorites.  But like a lot of fans say, those alien world levels were really boring, as was the final boss.

-Battlefield 2 (PC)
I got this game a few weeks ago and it's really in depth...my computer can't run it to it's full potential, but I set all the graphics to their max and it's like a movie.  The online gameplay is great if you're into strategy...land, air, sea, indoors, outdoors...it's crazy.

-Call of Duty:United Offensive (PC)
I played this game online for a really long time...another great strategy war game, although not as insanely in depth as Battlefield 2.

-Commandos (PC)
You might have seen this one; a WWII game from a birds eye view.  Stealth is key.  A really fun and frustrating game to play, but you feel REALLY good when things go right and your men escape :D

-Warcraft II (PC)
The first RTS I really got into...for it's time it was amazing.

-The Thing (PS2)
The one and olny game I own for my PS2.  It's set in I think 1986; 4 years after the events of John Carpenters The Thing.  If you've seen the movie you'll love the game...exploring the blown up ruins of the base, going to the Norwegan outpost, having Things break through doors out of nowhere, having you fellow teammates who are 3' away from you transform...

I'm sure there are like 5 more that I can think of, but I'll probably add on later.

I'm obviously way out of touch since I don;t see many of my choices on anyone's list, but here goes, again in no particular order.

Unreal Tournament (PC)
Unreal Tournament 2004 (PC)
Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds (PC)
StarCraft (PC)
Carmageddon (PC)
Carmageddon II: Carpocalypse Now (PC)
Grand Theft Auto (PC)
Crimson Skies (PC)
Bionic Commando (NES)

I know that's only 9, but those are the games I have played the most.  After playing Carmageddon, all other racing games seem pathetic... and flight sims for the most part these days seem boring since it's all realistic military combat where you launch a missile at a target 100 miles away and don't even see the explosion.  Crimson Skies at least lets you see the person you are shooting at.

Just about all of these, except Bionic Commando, which was my favorite NES game (and glad to see someone else liked it too!) are much better when played online or in a LAN game with friends.  I have found that playing these games with friends beats the living hell out of playing any of them by yourself, and I think that's the biggest attraction to PC games for me.

1.lotz OoT n64. Amazing graphics(for its time), huge immersive world, great swordplay and puzzling, interesting weapons, and long story. This game is tied with twilight princess for close to the same reasons.
2.lotz mm n64. Same thing as above but with more sidequests and cool masks.
3.resident evil 4 wii.Great story, good, fun aiming, great camera, revolutionary gameplay and graphics. And so many memorable bossfights and normal encounters. Three last words:krauser knife fight.
4.Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion pc. Biggest world I've ever seen in a videogame(over 16 square miles)good story,old school dungeon crawling,amazing graphics,great gameplay,ultimate freedom.
5.REmake gc. Old school resi, with great new graphics and sections of the mansion. Zombies were never so much fun.
6.Cod 2 pc. Great graphics,excellent sound,amazing AI,best Fps controls I've ever seen. Featured a robust multiplayer mode.
7.Half life 2 pc. Best story in a game ever, brought new meaning to the word"difficulty".gravity gun,and great gameplay including unconventional physics puzzles make this game a classic.
8.lotz link to the past. I think we've covered the many merits of zelda already.
9.Smash bros melee gc. Best multiplayer ever. Featured great lineup of charachters with deep fighting system.the trophies were addictive too.
10.Okami ps2 and wii. Just read my zelda reviews and add a magical paintbrush.

Oh yeah. I must have spent literally countless hours all night playing "Spear of Destiny." Same can be said of Ultima IV. Those were the days I could stay up all night and work the next day. Now I'd be drooling all over my dashboard come 8am!  :D

My favorite Unreal skin is this one, but since it's an add on I usually stick to the woman for multiplayer games.  There's also a black one, which I prefer, but it doesn't look as good in a screen shot!

This is Kouryuu, the Techno Dragon.

I'll try to get a decent screen shot of the black one.  Those gold panels are actually in constant motion, as if there was a fire burning in each one of them.  It's really cool.

Here's the Kouryuu-B, just before I killed him.  Because I hesitated to get the screen shot, he managed to get a shot at me, which offended me so much I punished him mercilessly with my Flak Cannon.

Here's a tip- if any of you ever play DeathMatch with me, guard the Flak Cannons because once I grab one, I'm unstoppable!   :D

The story of the Unreal Tournament starts off with the Liandri Deep Space Mining Company.  Miners start strongman competitions to alleviate boredom, and they eventually develop into the no holds (or weapons) barred tournament that you play when you get the game.  This happens over about 100 years or so, and Liandri gets out of deep space mining and into tournament promotion.

While looking on YouTube for the story, I found this:

I couldn't find the backstory though...

www.unrealtournament.com

I used to hate the original version, but friends of mine always wanted to play it.  I think when we'd play together they were sick of me mopping the floor with them when playing RTS games, and Unreal was their way of getting me back.  Well, after a few weeks of getting my arse handed to me (we'd get together and have a LAN party every Sunday) I decided that was it.  I did nothing but play Unreal for the next week straight, didn't tell anyone what I was doing, then when Sunday rolled around again, it was time to open up a few cans from my private stock of Whoopass!  I wasn't the best, but I was significantly better than I was, and I pretty well came in second most times we played.

After that, all we played were team games, where we were all allies! :D

A few months later I played against a couple of friends- they were on one team, I was on the other.  It was three on three- they had two humans and a 'bot (computer) and I had me and two 'bots.

I still won!

Then we discovered UT 2004, which gave us vehicles.  No more did we have to just shoot eachother, now we could run each other over and annihilate each other with large scale explosives...  Hot diggety!

Now it looks like there are even more vehicles, bigger maps and better weapons.  What more could I want? :D

Naw, I only play those games a bit at a time- half an hour here, an hour there.  Unless I have friends with the game, then I can play for hours at a time.

It's not as much fun playing with faceless people online though- you don't sit around with them afterwards and laugh about it!
