Flashlight Collection
on:
May 07, 2011, 04:48:27 AM
Here are some torches that I've collected lying around the house over the last couple of weeks. I've recently been looking at new models again, and thinking if I need to let go any of my current ones. I have a few more than this, but didn't unload current packs or unbox anything since I have way too many laying around already. Now that I have them together though they should be a little easier to deal with. Most, if not all, of them I still like for one reason or another. The only light I got rid of since I started looking at them with this in mind was a new one I had just purchased.

fantastic looking collection mate. Also a great pic to show my wife whenever she thinks I own too many lights.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

ZebraLights are one of my top favorites. I see one of them was separated from the group, it is over on the left side. I have a few more, my pocket EDC light right now is a ZebraLight SC60w (not shown), and I'm really loving it. I have a new Zebra in the mail to me, and like many people are waiting for a couple they have not released yet. Usually I much prefer Elephants to Zebras, but in the flashlight world I've had to adjust.
My recent Fenix TK35 is not in the picture, it immediately went into my day bag, I totally recommend it.
Testing a Preon Revo SS (from 4-Sevens, a brand I tend to avoid), pretty nice but for edc I prefer M-L-H mode sequence rather than L-M-H. I like the way they have hidden the strobe though. I'll probably try the very similar Klarus, as I like small lights; it has M-L-H-S, and they are great as gifts because they are small and tough enough to handle keychain duty. The Fenix LD01SS will stay on my key chain, but the Revo may get nightstand duty with it's fairly low low being first in the sequence... but there is competition for that job.

I'm quite interested in the Klarus range so I'd be keen to hear your thoughts on them if you ever get one

It is too many, I'm trying to figure out how I can let some of them go. I just got another in the mail last week and I have one pre-ordered that should ship early June. I've got two in a shopping cart that I may or may not pull the trigger on.
I did pick up both the AAAA and the AA Klarus keychain lights. Both were defective and I'm sending them back for a refund. I'm done with those for a little while. I've only ever got one bumb light in the past, and this time I got two in one box, so I've decided to put Klarus on hold.
