So I want a compass on my watch...

So I have a wenger button compass lying around, this is what I came up with with some copper sheet. What say you, looks okay, or too tacky? (Be honest, I don't mind)

Yeah, touch of steampunk.

I think the copper will go green and leave marks on you but that doesn't matter :)

looks ok to me, i have my compass built in, its amazing how often while hiking or mountain biking i use it  :tu:

Thanks, I used copper because it's on hand, my other choices are lead and zinc.  ::) Maybe I'll get some aluminum to remake it.

I like it.  How accurate is the compass?   ;)

Well it tells me where north generally is.  :D It's only 1cm in diameter, so I can't really tell.

I actually have a Suunto watch, but it's kinda big for daily use, doesn't fit under sleeve well. Costco have a casio PAW2000 going on sale, pretty tempted.

this is my 3rd protrek , the compass is pretty much spot on as is the barometer, i set the altimeter while in away the other week and it also is good, i swim in the sea mountain bike long walks everything with this on, but i wear something more dressy to go out  :D
