One reason I like this forum is because members are allowed to talk about, even review on the copies and fake tools they found. Not sure what's the policy on them here but I know there are forums that locks thread upon seeing any mention of non-original stuff.

I'm not in favour of fake stuff but there are times where I want to know more about them, such as
1) so I know how to better distinguish them from the original
2) I can see if there's potential for dismantling parts for modifications or repairs
3) there could be new ideas to adapt for mods to the original stuff
... and so on.

The openness of this forum is one thing that stands out.

And I find that this forum loads pretty quickly.
You have the right tool... but do you know how to use it the right way?

You mean you guys don't have a magical winged unicorn that descends whenever there's a slight difference of opinion to make sure that everyone plays nice? Nice!

 Oh I know EXACTLY what you're talking about, and no - people play nice on here without the need for the periodic manifestations. This is a good place to be with some wonderful people and a very positive commonality. Far less conflict, point scoring, and (effectively) tribalism than "elsewhere". Since I came here I haven't gone back  ;) Here you can sit back, relax and share ideas respectfully rather than having to compete to put your views across - I love it

Whole heartedly agree - both parts of the statement. When I turned up here I had very little in the way of MT's and SAK's - now I have very little in the way of money, but at least I'm surrounded by kindred souls  :D I've learnt shed loads too - just not how to keep my wallet closed  :-\

 :D :D

The Unicorn is proving unreliable , it refuses to use the lard cannon, the compound leverage wings keep binding, its plastic tooth pick claws cause mirth instead of fear, it's flik deploying fangs fail to lock, it cannot brandish its fiery 2HO sword on account of it's tooth pick claws & the tantrums the thing chucks when it cannot get it's bottle opener deployed    :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

The thing is a bloody turkey  :P :D :D :D , so for now you have to settle for us gooses  :D :D :D

We do have a big red ban button and a bow of banishment that can be found from time to time.  Mostly we just find whatever spam is out there and fry it up, then we camp out around the fire and talk about how spammy it was.

There are many differences in opinion, but as long as you realize that Gerbers pinch, Leatherman's rust, SOG's clump, Vic's are perfect, and all are perfectly acceptable and use-able tools, you will do fine here.

 :D
That said I love every one of them, and have owned many of each.
