Hey everyone! new here!
I wanted to post that I successfully added telfon washers to the one hand opening blades on my new LM wave. I noticed on my LM Charge Al the knives were smooth to open after I adjusted the tension correctly. Not matter how much adjusting and 1/8's of a turn on on the pivots I couldn't get the blades riding out as smoothly on my Wave.
So, I took a cheap knife I had (I think $3 from DX) and made it a donor for it's teflon washers. A bit of shaping and expanding the hole in the washer, I carefully unscrewed the pivots on the knives on the Wave and slide on the washers on the blade side of the blot. From factory, there is no washer, not even a copper or brass one of the pivot contacting the blade. That's where the most of the friction came from.
A bit of petro-jelly for lube and I screwed back the pivots and adjusted the tension till there was no blade play and still was able to open smoothly.
Now it's smooth like butter, I would dare say smoother than the Charge AL now.
The key is to put the washer on the blade and pivot contact point, it only increases the thickness of the pivot by maybe .3 mm?

You should be able to see a thin white teflon washer.

and again here.
So, if you have a t10 safety torx, a donor teflon washer (I had two fortunately so I did both blades), you can smooth out that blade opening and not wear away at the pivot steal.
Hack on friends, hack on.
