Deal too good to be true? Charge TTI
on:
May 02, 2011, 08:34:54 AM
Hi,
Every now and then I search around ebay. I have seen a seller post for sale Charge tti for $59. Their history shows 5 sold for $59 and the seller has around 1000 feed backs at 100%. They sell them out of box, no sheath, no bit kit, used. I'm wondering if I should buy one the next time I see it or is this deal too good to be true (fake item?).
Since it seems like a good deal, I'm figuring someone here might have bought one (or avoided).

I would definitely go for it if it appears again
Everything is on your side; they have posted an actual photo of the Charge, they appear to have sold previously and have 100% feedback.
Don't forget the evil power of Paypal should you need them
If you're concerned ask them some questions or for more pics

I bought one of them. Mine was perfect. In fact, typically stiff like most new Leatherman tools

I have had a look at those but the lack of a sheath & the extra bits + bit holder that you normally get with the tti has put me off
, you do get the pocket clip though.

4 more available, I bought 1.
MultiMat, as I see it, I can find bit kits for 8 dollars and generic nylon sheaths for 1 or 2 dollars at local stores.. for a grand total of $75 for USA buyer

Well the cheap ship seems to have sailed.
I had a chance to buy one for 59. from these people. only I had another on on high bid for 59, only to have it sniped out from under me. and jen to be sold out...
Imagine my heartbreak, when they reappered for $69.00 Which I guess is an ok price, but thats $20 more than the good deals, and puts it out of my price range. if anyone wants them

That's still a lot better than the $145 they normally go for.
