I've got a Rat 3 1095 on the way.

Also, I just ordered my first Bark River knife.  It's a Mini-Skinner!

I have seen the Rat 3.  However, I know little or nothing about the Bark River knife that you mentioned.  I have owned several skinning knives over the years so I got an Idea of what it looks like.  Do you have a link or any pics?

I have coming, a Charge Tti, Spirit with ratchet, Fuse, Vista, German officers knife, Swiss Army deluxe flashlight (all metal, belt worn with sliders for filters and blackout), an Army & Navy lighter (that uses gasoline!), Ka-bar LDK, Douk-Douk, blue Super Tinker, several Vics (damn that Amazon), some nice Witz waterproof storage containers, and I also picked up the Hope Diamond! :D

That looks to be a more all pourpose skinning blade.  Really cool, The skinning knives that I have had in the past were a lot more curvy but that one seems like it could handle just about any outdoor task.

This is a great website, all kinds of cool stuff a lot of us should find interesting. Let me know if anyone picks up a pair of those 4750 USD U-Boat binocs!

I'm not sure what they mean by "gasoline". Sounds nice and dangerous though!  :ahhh

It is my experience that gas and sparks and lighters do not mix well in a controlled environment.  But the again, I sparks+gas=flames

I agree. What do you think they mean by "gasoline"?

Do you think I will make it to 200 posts or be killed by this lighter?

Yeah, I plan on using it for just about everything outdoors.  It does have a convex grind though, which I know nothing about, but I'm willing to learn!!! :D

It is a Wenger Tahara penknife.

What material are the scales made of?

I have a few things on the way.
Leatherman CS2 with the plastic sheath, and a Fisher Astronaut pen.  I am spending my Christmas money that I got from mom and dad. :)

They are made of bone.  Apart from that that's all I really know about it ???  Anyone have any idea how old it may be?
I'm back!!

Oh, and my Wenger arrived today. Lovely little knife.  A lot smaller than I was expecting but very solidly built and it has a great feel to it.  I am now keen to find out a little more about it.  I have never seen another one.

My packages are not set to arrive until Jan 2nd.  Bummer, I thought that they would be here sooner.

Well, my Bark River Mini-Skinner arrived today and I'm VERY happy with it.  It's a great little knife.  Haven't gotten a lot of time to mess around with it, but the time I did, it performed great.  Feels really nice in my hands.  I guess I'll need to post the usual pics.

I have some new sharpening stones on the way from DMT.  Can't wait to have the 2200 grit for putting really fine polished edges on.  Should be here in a couple of days.

Nothing.  :-[

I haven't really seen any tools to pique my interest. I like the Guppie but it doesn't really fit my EDC and I'm trying not to buy any tools that I won't EDC while I recover from the holidays.

I may pick up a new flashlight later this month if it's released on time.

I'm still waiting for my  RAT 3 in 1095.  I ordered it back in Oct, and have gotten a couple of push back letters in the mail.  I heard that Ontario threw away tons of knifes because they didn't meet the RAT standards.  Sounds now like it'll be Jan or Feb for my RAT3 to join my RAT5 (which I love).

My Juice arrived today along with the original fisher space pen that I ordered.  I have come to appreciate the small size of the Juice as it fits in the pocket nicely.  It is a good little tool.  I also got the poly sheath that allows it to be carried like a cellular phone.  I am one happy guy today.

I also signed up for X-box live and I had about 4 hours of laugh out loud fun killing people online. >:D

I too have the Juice (the CS4) and I also have the polycarbonate sheath.  I still haven't used it, it's sitting on my computer desk.  The first time it's been used was the other day when my wife asked me if I had a pliers handy.  I looked at her like "Was she serious?"  I went over the 3 or 4 options I had to give her and noticed the CS4 sitting on the desk.  I said, "Use this."

She said she liked it.  I may have lost it forever... :-[

I have an Elektrolumens Lucidus XR-2 on the way.  I've been waiting for this light since May, 2007.  I hope it meets expectations, but no EL product I've bought to far has failed to do so.
