These are the old boxes, which were moved into the cupboard shortly after this was taken:



This is the new one:



I suspect the overall capacity is quite similar, but I need the cupboard space freed up for camera gear and I'd like to be able to get to my tools more easily. It was a good price I got it for too, so the timing was right!

Tbh - I'm still sorting my computer out after the hard disk crash - so its probably just as well it isn't coming today!

The new toolbox isn't as big as the picture might suggest (which is a good thing as it wouldn't fit where I'm putting it really) so I'm hoping I can get everything I want in it. But I have to move some network equipment about and stuff - its complicated, lol.

Initial impressions are that this was cheap for a reason :D Terrible build quality and I did expect it to be a bit more solid though.

It will be interesting to see what the weight of my multi tools does to it  >:D

Very nice Dave, the Mrs and I were just talking about something like that, we saw a tv show that had one and she said "hey you could use something like that for your stuff!" But it was only one section, still I thought it was nice and would look cool on top of my dresser, I sure in hell wouldn't need anything that big, although I could probably use another section for under my workstation :think:

It's all relative I guess! These are the dimensions published by the eBay seller in case they are helpful:



The quality (particularly the lower roller cabinet) is NOT great. If I'd have paid the RRP / Amazon price for it I'd have sent it back tbh. I got it at about half the published price, so I'll give it a go. It'll do :)

I've got the bug!  :mail:

I just received a Gerber Clutch and a Leatherman PS4 in the mail. The PS4 is an old version with the torx screws (I see some 3D-printed scales in its future). I also just sent payment for an old-style Juice S2.

They are selling these for £13 including delivery on amazon.co.uk, and I just happen to have a beaten up iPad Mini that I was looking for a case for. Its discontinued by CRKT so I guess it only works for the original Mini.

I've just ordered an edge pro apex with the stone flattening plate and small knife attachment.

 I need to hit the pound shops for some cheapo knives to practice with now.

A replacement umbrella, as I've lost yet another one on the plane. That makes 4 now i think  >:(

And a Olight flashlight to replace my dead Leatherman S1

EDIT: And a new camera bag ready for my holiday in a couple of weeks time. Now to stop spending money!

I just ordered my first multitool / knife in years.

Vic Pioneer X. I'm intrigued by an alox knife with scissors. It will be used I'm sure :)

I just got the despatch and tracking email for my edge pro apex. I ordered it from the knives and tools UK site that also has a sister sites in Germany, France and the Netherlands. I'm guessing the Netherlands site is the parent one as everything is coming from Utrecht in the Netherlands. Now I get to watch it slowly move across here  :wait: :wait:
