Victorinox Huntsman:

This Huntsman came along with a lot of Classics I bought at a TSA auction (I just love having Classics everywhere within reach... )

It shows almost no signs of use, but came with an incredible amount of pocket lint crammed in it, and God knows what on the end of the toothpick. So I cleaned it:

• First the scales were carefully removed
• Then all tools were opened and placed in the dishwasher with noncorrosive detergent
• The scales, toothpick, and tweezers were soaked in a mild antibacterial dish soap, and then washed with a soft cloth
• Finally, once perfectly clean, everything was thoroughly dried, and all the pivots were oiled

• It has the red textured scales, with some minor pocket scratches
• No chips on the awl
