So what do you guys prefer, the sleak lines on a multi, or the sheeple friendly sak?

For my part it's Saks there's just something about them that makes me want to own and look after them, whereas a multitool is just that, a tool, I love em to bit's but with the exception of the spirit, there seldom what I would call attractive :)

So what about you fellas ???

I love my multi's and I carry them more than SAK's, but aesthetically a SAK is in a league of it's own!

Sorry to break the trend! But I find the utilitarian looks of a multi better than a SAK. Don't get me wrong a SAK is a good looking but of kit, but give me a multitool to look at any day.

Each to there own mate, and normally I'd agree with you, form follows function and all that, but in the case of the humble sak you can have both :)

Well I have, and I can't argue with the fact that it is a beautiful model, but next to a alox farmer or a 3 layer Sak, it's just not quite as pretty :)

Remember, Tim Leatherman started designing multitools to compliment SAKs, not replace them, so in reality can one be prettier than the other?  It's a duality where you really need both to appreciate either one properly.

From and aesthetic level I chose the SAK.  I agree with the arguments for the spirit though.  I never really thought of many multitools as aesthetically pleasing to look at but they are definately mechanically pleasing.  SAKs too are mechanically beautiful because they almost always function they way they were meant to.  The same could not be said about many folders.

I would guess it will really depend on how you use them. For EDCing, I'd say the SAK, easy to carry in your pocket, wide range of tools for many needs, dependable and for us toolnuts-stylish!

On the other hand, if I need to pinch, hold, grab, twist (come on babe-ah ) I'd want a multi-tool.
judge others by how they treat those they are allowed to mistreat

Aesthetically, I vote for the SAK, but I think Swisstools, with their highly-polished finish, are just as pleasing to the eye--especially the Spirit.

But it's not a question of which is the most useful, I wanted to know which looked the best mate :)
