An old Sabatier carbon steel kitchen knife blade


With a carved and broken buffalo horn corkscrew handle

As I clean up the horn other repairs become visable (little black circles)

I have had this idea kicking about in my head for a good few years
today I decided it was time ...  :ahhh

Eclipse used to make a great pad saw handle, took all sorts of blades inc hacksaw blades so you could use the same handle to cut many materials...

And I really like reciprocating saw blades, if only we could get
 them to fit other tools...  :think:

I have a couple of users  :whistle:

The original padsaw blades, hacksaw blades and reciprocating saw blades all fit  :tu:


Need to make a little spacer so jigsaw blades will fit  :salute:

It's in my kitchen at the moment to see how the handle feels and if I get on with a carbon blade in the kitchen  :tu:

Steve,
I made this with the idea of a tool for gardening (wanted a decent green wood saw)
Not sure yet but maybe keep the file, blade and awl then add the opener?
Might keep the big flat head for poking lawnmowers and stuff?  :think:

Probably not the saw  :rofl:

what you need is a ST with a little Eclipse blade holder then you can use those keyhole blades  :pok:
