Gun Cleaning Kit.
on: July 20, 2011, 09:37:57 PM
I just received this one in from Dennis. Sort of like an OTIS kit, but much smaller. This could be a mini-OTIS kit for all I know. I am going to place this in the Gerber section due to one of the included Multi-tools.

The Pouch is long and has 3 compartments. One in the back, and two inside the flap.

The main sheath area contains a pouch, and a Gerber BO MP 600 in a separate pocket.  The rear pocket contained an Ontario Knife Company Rescue Hook/Multi-Tool Deluxe Personal Egress Tool. From this point on, I am just going to call it the PET.

The Gerber that is included is a nice BO MP600. Unlike the copy that came with the OTIS kit, this one does not feature a wharncliffe blade, but a drop point blade.

The inside pouch contains a nice assortment of gun cleaning tools, including a bore snake and several attachments.

Getting back to that PET. It is a rather nice and comfortable tool with the finger grooves. A blade hone is built into the spine, and the whole thing is sturdy and constructed out of aluminum.

A nice compact bundle that is feature rich. A lot smaller than an OTIS kit. I really like this package.

Thats a nice kit Chako. I like that Ontario Rescue Hook with the honing stone on the spine. Is the hook cutter effective? I wounder how it stacks up against the Benchmade Rescue hooks.

I don't have a Benchmade Rescue hook to compare.
