Hello from Greece
on: July 30, 2011, 02:39:28 AM
Hello,

My name is George, I am 39 years old, married and have two beautiful daughters 2 and 4 years old. I am reading the forum (and the reviews) for quite a while now and I think it is time to create a profile too. :)

I got my first SAK (a red swisschamp) at the age of 14 after saving my allowance for weeks... then, for many years, I carried it everywhere and used it all the time. Now, after 25 years, the veteran still is in a great condition, oiled and sharpened with a new set of red transparent scales.

As of today, I have ~ fifteen full sized SAKs, a Swisstool spirit, ~ fifteen various models of classics, some Wengers, ~ ten Leathermans (squirts, juices, charges and a surge) and a SOG powerassist (which I very much like).

At this time I am very fond of Juice XE6 or Juice S2 for EDC + a Victorinox classic mostly for the tweezers and toothpick. If I give a full 10 to middle sized Vics for construction quality, I will give a 6 to Juices and feel generous too. But, no medium sized SAK have serious pliers + wire cutter and some Juices have very smart tool selection for their size. So I love them and use with their imperfections :) I find bigger Leathermans are of much better quality than Juices, so are Squirts...

And I love knives too! My collection consists mostly of budget knives (Bee / Enlan, Navy, Ganzo, Sanrenmu e.t.c.) and because I am not very hard on them I cannot justify buying more expensive ones, yet...

That's it! It is great meeting you guys :)

G'day & welcome George  :D :D.

A Swisschamp as a first SAK  :o :o :D :D :D. You did not muck around  :D :D.
Yep I tend to carry my Swisschamp & XE6 the most , Juice's screwdrivers are a little infuriating to deploy but the knives, files & pliers are very handy.
Sounds like you have a good load of stuff mate  8) 8) , I am sure your collection will grow with our help  >:D :D :D :D

This is called a Swiss Army Knife. Do you know what Switzerland is? Switzerland is a place where they don't like to fight, so they get people to do their fighting for them while they ski and eat chocolate. - Larry David
