Finally got a ST300
on: August 05, 2011, 01:19:12 PM
Been meaning to get an ST300 for work in a garage. Finally picked one up last night. It's a lot lighter than my surge! The button needs to be broken in on the sheath, it doesn't snap shut everytime. But other than that I like it. Simple enough to clean but has the tools i need.

I had a Core for ages, but upgraded to the Surge.  I was on the fence between the Surge and ST300, but went with a Surge for the scissors.

ST300 looks like a great too!  My Core never failed me either.  Leatherman make great stuff!

I love my surge more but the st300 isn't a slouch. I'm not afraid to use it.

That sounds like a 'TurnSouth' route to owning a ST300  :P :D :D

I'll have you know that I now own two ST300's, and I even bought one of them :P :D

Giving them a fair chance, seeing if I can get use to the "Flexi-Handles". Need to find a project where I can put it through some heavy abuse use, and see if it is worthy  :D

Yeh I am not sure I am a flexi fan  :-\ :-\ :-\.
I initially thought my ST300 was a early model that was not quite right(one of my screw driver tips bent after using a bit holder on it, along with the flexi I thought it was a bit of a dud)   .
