I had not seen the clear translucent one before.  I have the flip-up diffuser, but it sports a black ring for attachment rather than the clear one shown in your pic. 

My favorite new diffuser toy is d-c-Fix diffusion film.  It's more of a permanent solution though unless you attach it to something removable. rather than directly on the lens.

I'd not seen the clear one either. Got the flip up style, but don't like it. I keep the white opaque one in by EDC bag along with one of the  ... errmmm ... conical mirrored lantern attachmnet jobbies (not sure what they're called) from DX. Very useful for area lighting  :tu:

These diffusers - in combo with the strobe - are very effective for traffic control and other signalling.  I use diffusers also with a Streamlight Stinger LED and Strion LED.

That one looks like it might be more secure (and a bit less "snaggy") than the one I have (same as the one shown in the OP)

Those diffusers sure work well.  I took my homemade one's camping this year and they were
great both inside the tent and out and about in the site.
