Lol, I am gonna order a 6 C cell one tonight!

Let me know if you find one!

I did a pretty extensive search about 3 or 4 months ago, hoping someone would have one left in stock. No luck. :(

Is that a 6 or 7 cell?

Yours has character; type up a story, put it on ebay, and you should get quite a bit! :D

As for me I'll check some local flea markets this summer for one...even if it's broken, everything on a Mag is replaceable...the only thing I'd really need is the main barrel that holds the batteries.

That is a 6C Mag... and she's been converted to a serious weapon!  I've made a few important alterations to maximize impact!

I tried your old "pennies in the tailcap" mod on my 3D cell Mag, and belive it or not, that dozen or so pennies DOES make a difference in swinging!

Wrap the batteries in paper as well.  It strengthens them on impact, keeps them from rupturing, and the rattling around inside also dispels some of the impact force.

For even more power on impact, use epoxy to permanently affix the pennies in the tailcap so they don't rattle either, and to fill in the empty space.  You can also do that with a mixture of epoxy and ball bearings.

You can also use a length of rubber hose over the switch between the head and the trumbull stop (assuming you managed to get one) that will add to the water resistance, protect the small rubber grommet over the switch and increase your grip and save your hands in really cold weather.

But I didn't tell you any of that! :P

I've got those pennies in there pretty tight...I loaded it up, beat on some wood boards and shook them in line...then removed the cap and filled in the spaces with 2-3 more pennies :twak:

And a while back I used some of that blank newsprint around the batteries 8)

Even the 3D cell can pack a wollop, and since it rides between the seats of my car I'd probably take a swing at someone coming in my window, so the shortness is an advantage in that confined space.  I spray painted two silver bands on mine to see it better at night to.

Oh, and it can light up dark places also!  People knock krypton, or any bulbs for that matter, these days but it still lit up the gas station parking lot I creeped into with a flat tire...

I don't think I'd swing at someone if I was in the car- a good poke would be easier and cause more damage.  The weighted tailcap will help for that too.

I loved the Krypton bulbs but I would switch them out for the standard when working really nasty places because the incandescents have a nasty habit of popping on impact with a target.

I'd probably freak out if someone tried to take me from my car and just swing wildly until the screaming stopped :-X

And what are the stock blubs that come with Mags?  I thought they were krypton...whatever the case the stock bulb in that 3D held up with about a dozen hits to some boards and it still lights up...don't know about the spare one in the tailcap though!

They might be Krypton nowadays, but they used to be whatever the old standard was.  I remember buying the Krypton ones as an upgrade, and eventually the Xenon bulbs as an upgrade to that.  Or maybe the kryptons were the replacements and the Xenon were the upgrades... I can't remember now...

either way I'd switch to an LED now if Wilma was still on active duty.  Brighter, better battery life and increased impact resistance.

Maybe it's just me but I seem to lose some depth perception on things I'l illuminating with an LED, like looking at a photograph...the old bulb lights seem to make things much more defined.

Great looking light/weapon! I have had a black 6D for about 15 years and just got one in red.

BTW Wilma is HOT!! I can imagine me, her, Betty, a sack of flour, 4 sticks of butter and a pickle, all in a big galvanized tub. :ahhh :ahhh
