I find macro is harder "inside" then outside, man made lighting is a challenge.

I find that as well.  Infact, I can't really use Macro inside at all.

I've got the tripod and I have a lamp, but I think it needs to be "good" like you said.  :D

Not really, see my wire cutter pics, they were taken with just normal room light and a couple of books to provide a stable base :)

Good question.... maybe the south is darker than the north

I like the logic.  :D

Perhaps I just need to run a few more tests.  I'll take a few later and see how I get on.

What cameras u run guys?

i mean why doesnt your macro work, and why does it dark images.

maybe u focus it on some shiny surfaces?usually pocket cams cant figure out right timings/aperatures if the spots u try to focus on shines...ie.polished metals do this.

i use canon eos 350d( = rebel xti i huess,in usa).

Sorry no (nice looking) obstructions in my photos... these are some shots I've taken within 15min walk from my apartment...

field of poppies:

University of Navarra campus:

Citadel

After 1h of tramping around in 30C heat, I decided it would be fun to climb all 18 stories of stairs in my building for some panorama shots... (I normally only have to goto the first floor thankfully, but what views!)

enjoy... (edit stupid picasa gallery, links broke when I dragged and dropped...)

Whoey, I realy enjoyed viewing all the photos. Very nice view of the countryside and the campus. That stone bridge must be a century old. Thank you so much.

Here's an old photo I ran across that I'd forgotten about.  It's a sunrise picture out of the window of a 737, on my way to northern Minnesota for a fishing trip.  I was sitting above the leading edge of the right wing.

Thanks guys, I needed the exercise, and it was about time I played with my camera a bit more...

There are Roman ruins in the city... so that gives you an idea of how old some things are... which bridge are you referring to?

Is the peak of Mt. McKinley covered with ice the whole year round?
I guess there are so many wildlife in Mt Denali.

I was in Denali National Park for the last few days, and was on a cruise the week before that.
