Charge / Wave pocket clip T holder
on: September 06, 2011, 01:44:52 PM
I've got a brand new charge TTI but i think there is a loss on this great tool : corkscrew !!!
I'm french and as everyone know we drink wine in france... (cliché lol)
However I've search a conveniant way to do it and keep the warranty. It occurs to me that there is no holder on the charge where we can pull on the tool so I had the idea to make one like the surge (T holder).

The pocket clip have some drilling to carry the corkscrew when it is not used. You can screw the corkscrew into the drilling. With this pocket clip you can use the T saw (metal and wood saw). The main advantage is that this type of saw are almost inexpensive (5 euro for the best one) and very effective.
I will begin this project in one month cause I have to finish my study.
Hope you 'll like it and give some other idea.

I really like your simple system for storing the corkscrew when not in use.

Are you planning to use the victorinox corkscrew from the swisstool?
I dont quite see which part the corkscrew will attach to.

or....you could say to hell with warranty and do what I did! Replace the file with a corkscrew and assist.

Or you can be awesome like Tim Leatherman himself and open a win bottle with the blade, like so:

Chuck Norris' preferred iron supplement is rebar.

In fact i tried and it is pretty easy and safer than the shoes technic but it is kinda ..... barbarian way.
You can't do this on table.
For Metro I like your mod, it is the best way for a corkscrew, but you loose the versatility of the multitool.
Now it is more dedicated for bottle opening and less for multi use.
For the first try I think i will use a corkscrew for a key keeper. Cause it is small and less expensive than buy a victorinox. I don't have the swisstool only an huntsman and i want keep it.

the swisstool corkscrew is an extra part that can be bought separately. You should be able to get one for less than 5 euros. It slots into a cutout in the side of the tool which wouldn't be too hard to copy.

Have you seen these? The Twistick is my favourite. I tried to make one out of a Swistool corkscrew, but id didn't work, no room in the middle.
