How to sharpen your knife on a coffee mug (seriously)

Hmm... wonder if can take the lip of a mug, remove the glaze somehow, then use it to sharpen the cut hook of a Charge TTi?

If he's only doing two or three passes on the bottom of the mug it's not sharpening.  All he's doing is realigning the edge.

Pretty nifty.  I never thought of it before but it is just like a ceramic rod in a sense.

I have heard of doing this before, but will admit I've never tried it.  Another one I've heard of (but not tried) is using the top edge of a car window.

I have resharpened a kitchen knife on the bottom of a porcelain bowl, it's exactly like the coffee mug, just a bigger surface area.
Now, I'm not good at free hand sharpening, but I got that old blade to "tomato slicing" sharp in a couple of minutes

I've used awelding electrodes few times... Got good result...
