Leatherman PST spotted in Blade..
on: August 01, 2011, 06:59:51 AM
Amici,
I was watching 1998's vampire classic "Blade" last night, and there is a scene at the beach where Deacon Frost, Blades Antagonist, uses a classic Leatherman PST to pull out the fangs of Dragonetti, the leader of the Vampire Nation, very cool!!

Cheers,
Serge

Though it's been a long time since I saw the film I do remember the scene.  Didn't spot it was a PST though, well done. :salute:

Just so happens that Blade is on TV right now and I tuned in just as this scene came up.  I'm no so convinced that it is a PST, I'm thinking it might have been a Gerber Multi-Plier.

I think Frost flicks it open and the pliers are a bit more blunt nosed than those on the PST.  It is a pretty quick glimpse though so I wouldn't like to bet money on it. :D

I just noticed the other day when watching home alone 2 (yea I was bored) The kid buys a SAK at the toy store in NY and walks out to the curb. He pulls it out and deploys the magnifying glass from his SAK and reads a map. I could not identify it but never noticed it before.

It was most likely a Wenger ToolChest, if memory serves.

I've seen that movie quite a few times, but I never noticed that.  :pok:

I don't know what's sadder- that I own the trilogy on Blu Ray or that when I read the title I instantly thought of Blade magazine!  :P

My wife (SciFy Nut), just bought all three movies and TV series, for $10 at WalMart. Non-BluRay by the way.

I thought that was a Gerber MT since the pliers retract??
