They’ve really blossomed beautifully this year after some recent rain, one of the trees is about 9 foot tall and covered in bloom

Put me down for one please. I too am eagerly awaiting the Oz release. I'm keen to get one. Lets see how we will be hit with a price. No news on LM Oz site either.

I asked this question in the 30-day challenge thread and got no response.

Is there any information around about the changeover to the smaller pivot on the Super Tool plier head?  The one pictured here with the larger pivot is dated 06/96.  The smaller pivots in the pic are on ST200s, but I've seen plenty of other OG ST pics with the smaller pivot, so I know it occurred prior to the ST200 release.

I meant to look and completely forgot

I know that info has been talked about somewhere and we may have even made a chart

I will have to research  :salute:

This is the link to the first time I ever saw it mentioned about the pivots :salute:

The post was made by David and he gives an estimate about when it was changed  :tu:

Thanks Poncho.  I had thought from prior dates mentioned that mine might have been on the tail-end of the larger pivot production, and this confirms it.

I wonder what prompted the change.

I would only think it would have to do with using the pliers or cutting  otherwise I have no idea :dunno:

I'm curious if they maybe had some hard-use plier castings breaking with less material around the pivot and saw that as an opportunity.

I just bought a "minty" OG ST with the smaller pivot for a good price, so I'll get to compare.  So much for having a dedicated "user"  ::)
