What pliers do you guys prefer? I prefer too have a MT with flat nose pliers when I’m at work and needle nose on my spare time.
There is no problem that cannot be solved by the use of high explosives.

Personnelly I prefere the hybrid ones found on the Swisstool range :), they are obviously a compromise, but they seem to work well at most jobs I've set them too :)

I've posted about this before. I had never really cared about a try needle vs the hybrid until I read about a medic operating on a patient with a Wave. The Leatherman needlenose allowed him/her to use them as tweezers and for suturing. While God help you should squeamish me ever have to work on you medically, that simple advantage won me over to true needlenose. Stupid I know, but still food for thought...

Bill.

I prefer them a bit more to the needlenose end of the spectrum,
like the ones Wenger puts on its New Ranger SAKs.

Needle nose; like a few others said I feel like I have more options with it.

I also like the plier heads of the Swiss Tool and Spirit, strong but with decent reach (well the Spirit anyways) :D

I prefer needle-nose pliers, as they fit my uses better.  Blunt-noze pliers are good for nuts and bolts, but I don't tend to turn nuts and bolts with a plier unless that's the only tool I have available.  IMO, a plier is not the appropriate tool for that job.

I'll take needle-nose over flat nose myself.

I say needle nose but if I get a dedicated set out it is usually my reg pliers, but I think you have more versatility with needle nosed on a MT :)

Needle nose. Anything it's not strong enough you should get a real plier.

For an edc tool, I'd go with the classic MT needle-nose. (I call it a "classic MT" needle-nose" because even LMs, etc. are very much a hybrid if you look at dedicated needle-nose pliers, though they lean towards the needle side of things.) I like that configuration because to me there seem to be more situations where flat-nose would come up short than the other way around.

Me too. Granted it's not real good at one or the other but on a multi-tool I want something that has the widest variety of uses.
