When did Gerber change their logo?

I just noticed they dumped their old sword in stone logo and now have this new sword and shield thing.

Duno about you but I like the older one better, new one looks tacticool.

Very disappointing. When I was younger I thought that logo was so cool. Made me want to have gerber stuff, lol. I wouldn't look twice at this new one. Boring and plain.

Am I the only one that likes the new logo? It's a modern update with a nice reference to their old past. Every brand needs a refresh, check out USPS logo history or even Shell Gas.

Don't know about the changed logo myself.

I think if they'd done an updated version of the old one I wouldn't have minded, but this one feels like they're trying to hard. As jzmtl says; it's a bit "tacticool". $:-\$

I like the old logo better. I guess its not a big issue for me though.

It must have been a recent change- I was on their site not too long ago and it was still the old logo.

I like both- I think if I was Gerber I'd stick with the classic logo for classic knives and multitools and use the new logo on more tactical/military/LEO type stuff.... but then that's just me!
