Alright, well, this is kind of what I teased in the "What do we have on the way" thread, but it's here and I think it deserves some pretty pictures.
This is my first 100% ground up custom knife. Not "pre-made by a maker and bought" custom, but this is 100% designed by me, fitted to my hand and it incorporates a number of design features that I wanted in a neck knife (surprisingly long process even though the knife is only 4 inches/9cm long). It ended up that this is a joint Christmas gift from my wife and sisters.
So, it's made of CPM-154CM steel at HRC 59-60 in 3/32" stock, flat ground from the spine down with a 30 degree inclusive angle. The knife is deeply choiled for a three finger grip with no jimping, and indeed it's comfortable anywhere from my bare hand to the largest, thickest winter gloves I have. In a natural grip it rests comfortably along my fingers straight, but I can bring my middle finger in and palm the knife bringing the angle down for more comfortable draw cuts. It's 100% hand made, shaped and filed by hand, and hand-finished to a 400-grit so it's non reflective and should hide scratches reasonably well.
No more talking, pictures

Blade detail

And a little design detail that I requested as a "hopefully" and the knifemaker was able to do for me.
The knife was made by a local maker I dug up off of Bladeforums, and from original design talks to finished product it took exactly one month to do.
