New Gerber find...
on: November 12, 2011, 09:18:30 PM
Check this out...

http://www.amazon.com/Gerber-31-001015-Crucial-Strap-Cutter/dp/B0055OTB74/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1320357289&sr=8-1

I'm hardly fond of the Crucial, but this is a pretty good deal.  I'm going to order it simply because it's such a good price.  If I end up hating it, I have a brother in law who I know will love it.

I've not heard of the strap cutter version of the Crucial before.  Good price as well. :)

No worries!  :)

I was taking a break from writing a homework assignment for one of my classes (which sometimes seems like is more of an ordeal than having a tooth pulled), and was taking a break and cruising around on Amazon and found it.  My first thought was, "Wow, that's cool, even for a Crucial".  My second thought was "I need to share this on MTO!"  :D

I still haven't pulled the trigger though... it is cool... but it is a Crucial...  :-\  That curl on the upper handle is a pain.  Literally.  The green one I had always dug into the side of my hand whenever I'd try to use the pliers.

If I do buy one, it'll only be because I don't have a BO style tool yet, and would like to have one, not because I really need, or honestly like, the Crucial.

I bought this from amazon-UK almost a month ago  for £30 +£3 post.

I only bought it as i thought it was a bargain, not a big fan of the crucial but for that money you can not moan, especially as the knife is half decent.

My trouble is i never show initiative, but that's only because no one has told me to.

It's funky. :tu:  I don't know if it's BO, but it's black, at least. :D

Gah...I kinda want this...

It's between this and the LM Wingman.  I love my Skeletool but sometimes I just need that extra tool or two...and i think Wingman will cover it, but something about this black Crucial is drawing me in.  Never had a Gerber though...

Crucial's are interesting little tools.  I had a green one I EDC'd for a while but found the only things I used on it regularly were the blade and the screwdrivers, and when I did try to use the pliers, the weird little curve in the handle always gouged my palm.

I ended up gifting it actually.  For a pocket size Gerber tool, I prefer the Octane.
