Well a friend of mine knows I like MT'S and bought me this from Ross. I actually liked it before I opened it as it reminded me of a Super Tool. Well I opened it up and deployed the knife. To my surprise it actually locked the same way as a Super Tool. Well I went to deploy a tool on the opposite side and SNAP.......   I was actually liking this inexpensive tool. It was under $10. Good thing he gave me the receipt. Now i'm debating returning it for another of just taking the money.

That's nasty. Glad it broke in that manner, rather than when you were using it.

Take it back for a refund.

Yeah, get another one.  If your mate had wanted you to have $10 he'd have given you that, not the MT.  Always a chance it was a flaw and the replacement will be fine.  If not then I might just take the cash. ;)

Alright folks I wen't to Ross and they had more but they were a different model that I did not like. I took the money and decided to stop by Target on my way home. Left with two new VIC Classics. One transparent Sapphire Blue, One transparent Pink.  :tu: I'm kind of glad it broke because I would of never went to Target and got two new SAK'S. I will get a picture up when I upload it from my camera.  :tu:

Just the simple fact that you got a "Wolverine from Ross" had trouble written all over it.

I know. I should have known better.  :ahhh   I actually would have been fairly impressed with it if the locking mechanism did not break first try.

Yikes, now even the handles are made from cheap die-cast  :ahhh

It's going to be a while before I can talk myself into buying a multi-plier again!

The grain structure on the broken surface look huge, definitely bad heat treatment.
