Don't own any Kabar's as the standard combat knife doesn't really appeal to me but that new Snody Snakecharmer looks awesome

Those are nice looking Kabars !    A little rougher looking but I have this great old Camillus that I got sometime in the 80's. Took it on many camping trips in the mountains when I lived in Colorado.

You may be able to buy a better knife. You certainly can buy a more expensive knife. But you'll never be able to buy a knife that has more of an extraordinary history of service to our military than the Ka-bar.

Congratulations Dunc.

I had one for a short period , lovely hefty knife.

I've stripped the finish off my user Ka-Bar and treated it with vinegar for a forced patina , I'll post a pic later when I get home

Indeed, I love the BK2 , great Bushcraft blade.

My user started to look all scuffed up so I thought I'd strip off the black finish and use vinegar to give it a forced patina.

Nice job Dunc  I've always seen these as more of a fighting knife than a utility/working knife, and as such never decided to take the plunge. Does the user get much in the way of use Dunc? Any particular chores done with it?
