Thanks. I've been trying to work on adjustable lanyard too, but nothing came out anywhere near as nice as yours :salute:

Cheers for the kind words Jamie. I have to say I'm not 100% happy with the above prototype in terms of neatness. I made it quick to determine if the idea worked at all!

The first weave above the clip is a 8 cord square/flat weave. Not something I've done before, so in my eyes that bit can be better.

First time poster here.

I´ve made a few bracelets for friends but did not take pics.

Here is a keyfob i made from some leftover digital camo cord and a coiled lanyard.
It was made from clothesline with PE cofer and nylon core, a Paracord sleeve, some crimped terminal connectors and some heatshrink tubing.

I made one for my dad in 2007 after seeing a thread on USN forums about them by TADGear the year before.  My dad used his clipped to his cell phone(5 years), until last year, when the spring in the swivel clip finally gave out.

Here's a link for making your own coil with a boiling technique.  I'd first seen this method done on a boating forum using weed eater line a few years ago.  And a few more tutorials:

Seeing a process done from different perspectives can help others learn, where they might have trouble following just one tutorial, and the method you use may offer something different or even give someone else other ideas to try and maybe improve on techniques for future DIYers, so please, do give it a go.  :)

That looks good. How well does it stay shut?

I assume you have to measure it so it fits pretty snug.

It's actually somewhat slightly adjustable, by sliding one or two of the Solomon bars back or forth, and fitting the lanyard/diamond knot through the loop/space between them, and they also secure the knot closure of the bracelet/watchband so it doesn't come loose.  It could also be tied with a side release buckle, but I went with trying this simple version first... ;)

That's always a good idea IMO.  Staring at 50 near identical bags can get a little frustrating. ::)  I've got a little green cord done as a wrap around the handle of my suitcase.

Where is the best place to learn how to make a lanyard attachment for a Swiss Army Knife? Also, where can you purchase paracord?
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.
