That is a pretty good pic of it! Can't say that i've ever seen a real pic of it, seen the patent drawings before but never a real life shot, good find!
I think Supratentorial has a picture in the museum.
I'm pretty certain the pictures he has posted were taken by our own Neither Extreme while visiting the Leatherman factory.Def
Can you say "sprint run."
That is a great pic. I love stuff that looks way overbuilt.
Wow is that my Surges Daddy. But ya got to hand the guy credit. He really started the revolution.
I have yet to see a Multi on every belt, in every car, on every boat, and in every kitchen drawer.
I found the original photo used in the shot Spoonrobot posted. (Caution, this thing is huge!) Lots of exquisite detail though.http://www.leathermanlibrary.com/displayimage.php?album=44&pos=12
Those dual purpose blunt nose/needlenose pliers are a fantastic concept - in theory - but look like they would be pretty fragile in real life.

Yeah, I think it's brilliant. I could see lots of warranty returns by abuse on those needle nose. Not to mention the production nightmare I would expect them to be...
If I recall from the patent literature, another Mr Crunch feature was the needlenose top-jaws; they stay parallel as they open and close. Kinda like the old Bernard or Sargent pliers did.
