Picked up a backup light, well more for home or anytime I'm not at work. Got a Fenix E12. Pretty nice, I can honestly say it's not as nice as my d25a and it is slightly bigger in diameter and a few mm longer but a nice light. Fits in the skinth nicely too.

All other lights pale in comparison to the D25A. >:D  The fact I have a good few lights other than my D25A is completely immaterial.

Maybe I should give up looking for the NW and just go with the CW.

Don't "settle" for another light (or anything else for that matter) if you don't have to. You will never be happy with it. It will be set aside or eventually sold at a loss.

What if I get both, will I be twice as happy?   ;)

I've learned that lesson a few times. :-\  Every time you look or use the one you "settled for" you'll think of the one you should have gotten.

Isn't "Get both," what we always say around these parts anyway?

That said, flashlights are fun, so as long as money allows, I tend to slowly accumulate them.

They really are fun.  I'm a bit bummed the time changed so more daylight  :D.  I do enjoy using my lights and tend to always find a reason.  I also just like having one or 3 on me.

No way.  I got my first NW and to be honest I wasn't happy.  I then got the CW version and went immediately back to the NW.  I do like the tint very much and while I'm happy with BOTH my NW see the bulk of pocket time.

That's Neutral White and Cool White.  Neutral white is more like the tone you get from a old incandescent bulb, Cool white is what you'd be more used to seeing from most LEDs; bright, but cold.  Cool LEDs tend to be a little brighter in theory, but not normally so much to make any real world difference IMO.  Hope that helps. :)

I've just been looking as well and they're not out there as far as I can tell.  The only ones I've seen are the Nichia 219 versions which, while a warm tint, aren't nearly as bright as the other options.  I'm guessing they must have their upsides or else Eagletac wouldn't use them, but I'm not sure I see what it is.

What does the nw offer that a cw light doesn't?

You need to be able to see colors real well or just prefer the tint?

I personally believe this ^^ there are however subtle differences.

When I got my Thrunite T10 NW it was my first NW.  I was disappointed at first and immediately ordered the CW.  Once I got both lights in hand and played with them in different scenarios I could then appreciate the tint of the NW.  To me the NW appeared less bright but I liked how my eyes perceived the light.

I don't personally notice the color rendition unless I've been using my NW for extended periods then go to my CW.  I do like NW tints and will be getting more.

Convoy S2+ Flashlight with the XM-L2 U2 1A emitter for some cool white tint and some protected 18650 Panasonic 3400 mah cells.

First 18650 light and it was only like 16 dollars. The two batteries I got cost more then the light did lol.

Is that a AA or a AAA?  Looks small for a AA light.

So the other day I decide I need some 18650 in my life for more run time then my 16340 SWM V11R.

Decide on the Nitecore P12GT for the awesome throw and UI. So a little research and find a group buy with a great price on CPF.

This is where my story should end except I caught the guy running the group buy on the weekend and it took a while to get the code.

While I am waiting I order a Convoy S2+ because sixteen dollars.

Of course I need a 18350 tube for the Convoy because choice is good. While looking for the tube I run across something called a Manker BLF A6. 1300 lumens from a protected high drain 18650 and a simple UI.

Long story long now I have three lights in the mail and I didn't really even need the first one lol.

Yep, mine came with a 750mah 14500 battery
The only negative thing I can say about it is the magnet isn’t any stronger than it needs to be but it works
Apart from that I love this light  :dd:

[/quote]

I was just wondering, I have the S10R and it does not always goes on when I push the on switch. I have to hit it on the table or unsrew and screw on the battery housing. Do you have any experience with that on yours as well?
