Picked up a G2X Pro after the holidays. I stuff it in my coat pocket when I leave the house at night. It's a bright sucker. I need to find a decent clip for it so that I can carry it in the warmer months. I've seen the solar force clip, but want something darker in color. Any suggestions would be welcome.

The Solarforce was the only one that sprang to my mind.  Perhaps add a can of matte black metal spray paint?

This may be the best way to go if no other options pop up. The clip can be had for fairly cheap so I might try this either way. If it doesn't work for me then I'll go with belt carry. Thanks for the idea!

Just got a super exciting led Mag Solitare......please hold your applause ::)

I love the solitaire, what color and is it the LED version?

It's just a standard black led Solitaire

Yet another Solitaire here, though the LED version. (Bog standard black body.) I guess I'm weird, I started getting more Maglites after having gotten stuff like ZebraLight and 4Sevens. I really like a single mode, adjustable optics, a solid frame and that's it.

Tank007 E10

More in the review section.

Rant: I have no idea why but the prices of the Tank007 models have doubled/tripled in the past year. The only justification I can find is that the internet exposure has increased demand.

And not just Thank007 flashlights. I've just posted something along those lines today on SRM knives. They are 2x and more the price than the last time I bought them on even the same models. ::)

More on the flashlight in the other thread. ;)

I used to get the E09s for about $10-12 last year... Now they are priced the same as the Fenix lights.

I get the feeling that the ultrafire is like a budget line for the Tank007; at least with regards to the AAA models (e.g. E05, A3) based on the fact that they use Tank007 drivers but have older emitters (A3), fewer modes (E05) and lesser overall finish.

I base that on nothing but my own observations.

My cheap, under $5 dollar light arrived today.  http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B006E0QAFY/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1  Wow, that sucker is bright!!!  I'm only running a 1.5volt alkaline in it right now, so can't wait to try it out with a 3.6 volt battery!

It feels really well made, and not cheap at all.  It has a nice pocket clip that seems like it will hole fairly well.  The light has three modes, that you select after turning the light on by pressing the button part way down; high, low and strobe.

Sorry about the crappy pics, low light and a phone don't mix all too well.

There really is nothing to complain about with those lights, is there?  Especially given just how cheap they are. :)

It's a SK68 knockoff... The most popular "Zoomie" in production. Great little light. Referring to the $5 amazon light above my post.

I really wasn't expecting much considering the price, so I can say I amy very happy with it.  Time will tell how long it will last, but for the price, I consider it disposable.

+1 They're awesome little lights. They shock People with their brightness.  Your average Maglight does about 60 lumens. The little SK does around 300 lumens

What modifications have been done to it? I'm just checking the specs on it and comparing it to the Nitecore EA4.

Upgraded emitter/LED, Doc jones driver & something else... Cant remember. It's been changed over from alkaline batteries to lipo's

I love that little flashlight, it's a nice size, perfect hand width, good grip, and super bright! I want to get another one but I'm looking at some of these package deals where they come with a charger and two batteries, the only thing I really would like is just a simple on/off, I'm not really fond of the flash,, or the five stage with the flash and SOS.. Here's a pic of mine, perfect size match to my sak, they even have a red flashlight to match, but idk, still looking. JR

 is there a second size? Or is this a modified pic? Since there's only five air cooling grooves on both that are diff sizes, the knurls are diff, and the name etching looks blacked out.. Kinda as if it got stretched and some one put a black box over the name area? JR

The bigger one uses a special li-ion battery, a 18650 which allows for much higher output. I think the good battery might cost more than this flashlight. :D

EDIT: and I would be correct. ;) $25 shipped for a AW 18650 battery.

Ok, so now that I have a new LED light, that uses one AAA, and makes my 3D Mag look like a lit match, I've been wondering about LED upgrades for it.  I've seen a few, but I'm not sure which is the best for the price.  I don't need something that's going to cost me $100, but I'd like to be able to make it at least equal to my new little light.
