I looked around and didn't see this yet.  Hope it hasn't been posted.  Looks like nice stuff:

The new Gerber Downrange Sharpener combines an unprecedented 4 sharpening tools into a single device. What’s more, it was designed specifically for tactical use.

Tactical sharpener.  ::)

I kind of laughed about that too.  The rest of the stuff looked nice.  Putting a front sight adjuster on a multi tool is a great idea.  I would have love that when I was in the Marines.

Interesting find GB, thanks for the heads up. :tu: Looks like it has an MP600 plier head and handles, with lock releases and handle pivots from a Diesel. And like Sazabi says, folding tools from an Effect

Definitely Gerber's response to the Leatherman MUT / Multitasker Tool :salute:

How is that sharpener "tactical" exactly?  It's not even black!  :o

Is it just me or is the tip of the blade blunt?  I wonder why? :think:  Not sure that the Phillips doesn't look longer than normal as well, note the long cut-out in the handle.

If I had to guess on the lack of a knife point...

If it is pointy, it could be used as a weapon and thus it is a weapon. If it doesn't, it's a tool. There is much less paperwork involved in losing or breaking a tool than a weapon.

Necessity is the mother of invention. If you're not ready, it's "a mother". If you are, it's "mom".
