They are indeed discontinued, but dealers will continue to have them listed until they sell out of them.

We had wondered about that.  When on it's own, ToolLogic had their own issues, but since being acquired by SOG it seems that TL has become what I call a b*tch company.  They get the hand outs, the potential failures and the trash.

It's sad that TL isn't being supported better- there was always a lot of potential to a company like that.

Yeah, we first saw that last year when the quality of the Micro ToolClip wasn't as good as it should be, so they changed the branding on it from "SOG" Micro ToolClip to "ToolLogic" Micro ToolClip
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

This is sad as im a fan of there products, ive a few TL tools and find them all well made, this sucks  :-\ lots of companis have other companis, for example seiko own lorus/pulsar/J springs, ive had seiko's and all there other brands but have to admit that although seiko's other brandings are generally cheaper there still well made in there own right, i think sog need to re-think there ideas with TL before they lose the people who like these products,  :-\

Ugh.

I like my ToolLogic tools.  Very good concepts in their older stuff.  I really hate to see them become a "joke" brand for SOG. :(

SOG's official stance is that they have yet to determine a role for TL to play within the organization.  As many of you know, the TL purchase was a very spur of the moment type acquisition, and I'm not certain there was a plan from the get go- just an opportunity that SOG took as they would have missed out had they not grabbed it when they could.

Because of this I think TL is floundering, especially now that the original owner, Steve Padden, who worked with SOG after the purchase, has left the organization.  I don't know where Steve is, or what the story of his departure is, but I wish him well.  He may have just retired, or he may have gone on to another project, but he was a nice guy and he believed greatly in the potential of Multitool.org, so if he's reading this, I hope he'll fire me off an email as I'd like very much to stay in touch.

Of course, when you purchase a brand, you purchase a certain value of that brand as well, and I hate to see SOG squandering it for whatever reason.

It looks that way...and I do like Tool Logic's innovations, particularly in their credit card MTs.

Well either way, this has caused me to rush out and buy an SL Plier, a tool I wasn't really aware of as I haven't been following the company for quite some time now, especially since the SOG acquisition.
A little Leatherman information.
