Could you make a tougher combo tool?

Στάλθηκε από το YOGA Tablet 2-830F μου χρησιμοποιώντας Tapatalk

Combo tool is too thin to even be strong.  But I bet it's possible to grind the bottom of a bottle opener to be able to open cans.

I did that. The inside arc of the Opener needs to be increased somewhat, and a better point ground to grip the edge of the tin can........but it works fine.

Thats awesome!  I figured it would work but never got around to it.  On 93mm SAKs like electricians people are always wanting a can opener on them and tweaking the bottle opener into a kind of can opener combo tool seemed like a good option.

It's *much* stronger than a Combo Tool, and you get a short beveled/sharpened edge that might be useful for something. It can still be used as a large flat screwdriver.

That's a beautiful knife.  I didn't realize you could put the magnifying glass across from one of the openers...

Its a recent discovery.  It only works with the bottle opener from a 93mm pioneer.  I have to shorten it alot as well, but it does work.

I definitely have the intention to order you a modded SAK, they seem really well made! I'm still thinking about various things that I might figure myself before bother you asking too much questions. Something I would already enjoy since longtime is an 91mm alox, and NOT that I don't like your scales, but I would really like it with the silver original ones. I was also thinking about a last liner on one side (instead of both?) thick enough to fit the tweezers-toothpick-pen.
Is that sounds good?

I really like this!

*See second pic, I'm not able to put it here :-(

I wonder if it would be a good idea to shape a square hole regarding torque capability? (perpendicular sides) and also if it could handle more torque on a scale or on a tool? A sturdy one in thick titanium..

With a cardan extension, either on the square or hex side, or both, you could reach pretty much anything to tighten or loosen.

Today has been my best day ever with the CNC mill.  No more leaks, and Ive finally mastered 2D patterning and actually getting what I am trying to!

The first one I did was a interference pattern type.  I made some concentric circles overlap and hit it with a ball mill.  I was super conservative and it took 10 minutes to cut and Im fine with that.  :D

I am working on more patterns now and of course the traditional crosshatch.

So do I just send my current pocket knife back to you for the OC scales or you send me the scales and I add them to my existing custom?  :D

I've got 4 styles so far of scale patterns.  I'll get some demo models built today for examples.  What Im trying to do is to do the OC texture on one of my brass/copper inlay scales so the left over portion where the old cross is, just exactly exposing the inlay metal.  That way I can polish the cross AND have the nice texture.   It will be so nice to offer more options!
