I will recommend the customer to sheath carry, or get reinforced pockets! :D

That beauty, even without a corkscrew, would be a terminal EDC if I had it. Awesome toolset, and great work!

My CPM 154 blades came back from heat treat today.  They will clean up nice and then I can come up with some cool mods to use them for.   :D

No those were done by another blade smith as payment for a SAK mod.  One of the clip points is for his mod that is a dual spring model with the thick clip point blade down the center, then a combo tool and awl on the other side.   Ive already done the fit up for it, and it will be a pretty cool mod.

For my blades I know I want to make a modern Vic version of a stockman, plus more tools.  Other than that I hadnt quite figured out what I was going to use them all for yet.

Ive gotten alot better at hand grinding metal since I started and I feel Im ready to cut and shape my own blades next though, which is why Im going to bite the bullet and get some nice Damasteel to try.

It might be the way the light's hitting it, but those scales seem to have a sort of iridescent glow to them. Not quite my style, but I like it nonetheless. Great work, as always...makes me look forward to when mine comes up to the plate  :gimme:  :gimme:

Did you fabricate the clip or purchase it somewhere?

Its a knife kits one.  Very small and suits the cadet quite well.  Any larger and it really gets in the way when using the knife.

They come in black TiNi or the stainless.

I was asked by Doug Ritter, the Chairman of Kniferights.org if I wanted to contribute a custom SAK for the 2013 fundraising auction.  I was tickled to have my simple work up there with the big boys of the knife industry, so I figured I should donate something nice.

So I put together a fully Ti converted urban pioneer.  This one got the benefit of carbide impregnated Ti liners.  I'm going to call it 'anti-galling' technology!  Without it, Ti and steel can gall and feel 'sticky'  This is the first time I've actually used my cabidizer, but I couldn't be happier with how well it worked out.  The tools move super smooth and no galling at all.

I forgot to take progress pics to show the carbidizing process, but I am also building a Ti cadet with saw and scissors, so I will take pictures when I carbidize the liners for that build.

And.. some pics!

I have a new idea for this issue.  I was researching how blade makers do the stamp in their blades to put their mark on before heat treating.  Well there is a neat company that makes the stamps for 80 bucks from tool steel.  You use a jack press (I think 2 ton would work) and press the mark into the blade.  Now since Ti and Al are soft I dont see why that wont work.  I would just get a + made up I think.
