Thanks everyone, it's much appreciated
. It's been a crazy few days, but things are looking up a bit. He's still having trouble moving, speaking, and swallowing, but his condition has stabilized. Hopefully in the next day or so he'll be going to the Kessler Institute in West Orange, which is a well-known rehabilitation clinic. Christopher Reeve was a patient at Kessler after his accident. It's literally in the next town over from my mother, so she'll have no problems getting to go see him. All we can do is wait and pray. Thanks again guys!

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to give an update. My stepfather came home from the Kessler Institute yesterday. There is still a lot of therapy to go, but the progress he's made in the past few weeks has been amazing! The docs are optimistic that he'll make a full recovery. I just want to thank you all for your support, both here on the thread and through PMs. It's a reflection on this great online community that total strangers can be so supportive and compassionate. You guys and girls rock!

I'm so sorry I missed replying to this thread earlier. Sorry to hear about your step parent. And glad to hear he cam home. Just remember love can conquer all things and it can make the world a better place.
and a speedy recovery.
