Almond Milk.
on: January 23, 2012, 02:38:54 AM
I was at a friend's earlier today and she served me some Almond Milk. I had never heard of this. Boy was it very delicious. So much so that I went and picked some up afterwards.

Has anyone else had Almond Milk before. I am a bit surprised I had never heard of this before.

I haven't heard of that. What's it like?
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Off white and slightly brownish. Thicker than milk as well. Taste like almonds. Very delicious. I found it in the health section at the grocery store. The packaging says it is healthier than milk, and a substitute for those that are lactose intolerant.

Worked in an almond milking parlor for awhile, it was a pain in the smurf to get the milking machines hooked up to the almond udders.

It's a little more expensive comparatively but has more vitamin D and calcium and really tastes good.  I buy it from time to time.  I haven't tried the different flavors though.

I always wondered how you milk an almond, now I know someone to ask when I start my almond farm.  :P

It's just like soy milk, but made from almonds instead.  They usually flavor it with vanilla or chocolate, like you can with real milk.  I've tried it before, and it's good.   I went through a soy milk phase a few years ago, but it gave me awful, Fat-Ba$tard, type of flatulence...  :ahhh  So now I'm back to regular cow-juice.
