I agree Def I'm just saying I don't understand how you can trade elsewhere but not update us on the status of box? If your making trades and shipping them, why not ship this also?

I hate to see this happen for any reason, but maybe she is having trouble coming up with funds to ship the box? It may cost a penny or two to ship. As for the communication, if she's been active on another forum then I'm stumped. I don't see any reason she couldn't have stopped in here as well.

Oh well, I won't condemn her yet, strange things happen that we all may know nothing about.

Well I spoke to her yesterday and she was doing something last night that wasn't cheap so I don't see why money would be the issue.

I have told Def if need be I will try to put together a new box to finish this pass around as I want too.

Well that settles the cost issue for sure Ash.

I think would rather organize a community gift box back to you, considering you are the one who invested in this to begin with and ultimately lost it all if it never turns up.

I'm not organizing it myself, only making a suggestion so please take it as that, but how about it we take the next person on the list who can receive and collect a few items to rebuild the box. I have an item or two I know I could part with, and I'm certain some other folks wouldn't be against sending in an item- failing that I'm sure I could find a few other things to fill it up. So the next person on the list receives the items over a week or so then resumes the passaround. That way, no one person is on the hook for the whole thing, and I think at the end, Ashley should keep whatever is there for having had to be the one to deal with this crap.

Ideally, yes, it would be nice if the original box reappeared, and I think that should be the ultimate goal as I don't like the idea of someone benefiting from what amounts to theft.

But then, people who actually wanted to be a part of this shouldn't be kept waiting so I think we need to decide on a plan and implement it ASAP.

I think the plan for how to accomplish that should be Ashley's decision as this is her project. As I said, I am only making suggestions. In that vein though I think us international folks should pick someone farther down the list to send our items to as international shipping would cause additional delays in getting this back on track.

As I wasn't planning on taking much from the box to begin with, I can just grab an item or two from my stash and rebuild. I guess if all US participants wanted to they could send me their stuff as I was the last domestic participant, Jekostas is who I am to send to. I can pass everything on once I get it and add my stuff.

Just let me know what you want to do Ash, I will do what you want when you want it to happen.

I just checked BF and her friend that I met while I was over there had left a vistor message telling her to answer texts and phone calls so maybe were not the only people getting ignored. I want to think this through and when I come to a conclusion I will let you guys know. The next person to receive the box was to be separate mass so he would still be next. Thanks Ash

Also if need be, I have her address, cell #, and home #. She lives with her mom.

I will give her until Monday morning to ship this box off and if we have no tracking # and insurance # by then I will proceed with further options. A good friend of mine and super mod on BF is also aware of this issue due to her being very active over there.

If it comes down to rebuilding the box, I have some things here I'd be willing to contribute. Hardly seems fair that only Evan and I were able to pick from the original and pass it on.

This sucks.
I hope everything turns out OK, but it's looking less and less likely.
I'm still not going to throw accusations and point fingers but it's not far off.
Ashley, you have put in a great deal of effort and personal sacrifice to make this work. Not to mention trust in the participating members. It's a shame to see it ruined (for now I'll say tarnished, until proven otherwise) because of one person.

I really didn't have the slightest concern that somebody would just disappear with the items in the box, and I hope this isn't the case.
We are a tight knit and trusting group, the bad eggs seem to stay away (except for the occasional spammer).

I wish you all the best of luck, and if there's something I can do just say the word.
