Carolina Knife & Tool is a company that is either affiliated with Fiskars, or is a subsidiary of it. I don't really know which it was...what I do know is that they don't seem to make too many MTs anymore, or at least they are very rare in my neck of the woods. On top of that, the two copies I do currently own are based upon older Gerber sliding head pliers.

Here are some details...

The higher quality one is the older of the pair.

And for the granddad, this one is a first edition Gerber.

Just from your pics, you can tell that the newer tool isn't of the same quality as the others.
