You big meanie!

I've managed to acquire every other tool I've been after in a pretty short time, but this one is alluding me.  I missed out on 2 ebay auctions, and was just a tad too slow to get badwolf's.

Some day I will know the joy of spring actuated pliers.. some day!!!

I would suggest that you avoid the Stanley version of these.  The SOG version is neat but not as bulletproof as SOG's other tools due to the added complexity of the tool itself.

The Stanley version on the other hand has been known to explode when you press the button- true story...

And they are half the size. The ones I have aren't all that bad.

And to compare size...

A little Leatherman information.

I wouldn't kick one out of bed for eating biscuits either ;)

Great looking tool - didn't realise those Stanley's were soooo much smaller!

I don't think they are that hard to find, but then I haven't looked for one lately.  You do see them from time to time though.

A year and a half later.. I finally got me one!!! :D

Maybe it was the long wait to find one, or the gadgetty factor, but I freaking love this thing.  :tu:  :tu:

This has the most comfortable tool out and pliers closed feel of any MT I have used.  Very comfy in hand.

Very easy to close one handed as well.  And of course even easier to open.. with a cool button push!  I cant believe they killed these off, funnest MT ever!

Is it possible to swap out tools on the switch plier like with a standard SOG?

Thinking about knife for scissors for UK legal purposes...

Yes, the SwitchPlier takes the usual SOG tools.

Afraid I have to add this to my Multi-Tool Bucket List.
Problem is, the list doesn't seem to get shorter as I grow older ;)
