oh Gerber, what were you thinking?

I just bought a maintenance kit to get the woodsman 600. Awesome tool with wire cutters and a saw! The flashlight is decent also. So what is my problem? Why is the sheath for times the size of the competition? Take a look at these pics.

OK, I had to do a little digging to try and see why this sheath was so huge.  Looks like it was originally made to hold a 2xAA Maglite not the Gerber light you've got.

I know that's not exactly the same but is it similar to one you have scrappy?  BTW even if it can hold a Maglite that sheath still looks way too big to actually use.

There's a striking similarity there to the Original Pock-Its sheath.

There really is isn't there? :o  Thinking about it the pic I put up just doesn't look huge enough to be the same as scrappy's.

Any chance of a shot of the interior layout scrappy?  I'm curious as to what all the space is for.

Could all the extra space be for small additional items/tools the user would add?  This is called a "Maintenance Kit," and I'm assuming this product is aimed at maintenance workers;  Maintenance workers will almost certainly need to carry more tools than a multiplier and a flashlight, and this pouch looks like it will accommodate them.

So. There's just too much space around the edges of the sheath. like to the left of the flashlight or to the right of the multi tool or in between the light and multi tool. here's a picture of it next to another sheath like it. both have a pocket at the bottom for additional items however the gerber pocket is so tight you can't use it.
