I just called him to see if he was ok and maybe laugh at him a little!  :D

Seems they are making the best of it and will be home in a couple of hours.  I am refraining from commenting here on the current state of their travel arrangements to avoid upsetting the Travel Gods.... but I'm sure he'll fill everyone in when he gets home...
