Boker Plus Chad Los Banos 582 Framelock Titanium

Sometimes I wonder why I bought this, but all I have to do is dig it out of the safe, and the coolness factor speaks out loudly.
A common complaint about these knives, is that the blade does not center when closed, but I think the framelock pushes it to that position. In the case of mine, it does not drag on the frame, but I have heard of some doing that. Made in Taiwan, these are a bargain for about $30USD.

I have the RESCOM, a slightly deformed version of that one, although not in titanium. It's a nice piece, but I wish they were a bit longer to get a better grip on them.

This may be a dumb question, but what is the purpose of the hooked blade?

It's supposed to be a rescue variant- the hooked blade is for seatbelt cutting.

FYI there's an all black Rescom in the trade forums right now.
